An analysis on residents'satisfaction with participating in community environment roundtable dialogue
;The community environmental roundtable dialogue is a bottom-up environmental and social governance mechanism, which is of great significance to strengthen the communication of all parties in society and jointly explore and solve regional development and environmental issues.Based on the survey data of 377 residents from 8 communities in Beijing, the implementation effect is measured by the satisfaction of residents with participating in community environmental roundtable dialogue.A performance analysis framework of"context-process-outcome"is constructed based on three implementation stages of the roundtable dialogue, and the key factors affecting residents'satisfaction are explored by using the multivariate ordered logistic model. The results show that:1)About 80%of the respondents express"very satisfied"and"relatively satisfied"with participating in community environmental roundtable dialogue, indicating that they have a relatively higher overall evaluation of its implementation effect.2)As to the"context"dimension variables, such as"urgency of environmental issues that need to be solved through roundtable dialogue","the trust that roundtable dialogue can solve environmental problems",and"the evaluation on the work to preparing background information disclosure",residents'perception to which significantly positively impacts the level of satisfaction.3)For the"process"dimension variables, the rationality of time allocation for each part of the dialogue, the rationality of the number of representatives from all parties and their on-site performance, the adequacy of discussions on solving environmental problems, and the number of residents'speeches have significant positive impacts on the level of satisfaction.4)For the"outcome"dimension variables, the feedback situation, residents'understanding of environmental issues, the degree of trust among representatives of all parties, and the perception of environmental problem-solving after the dialogue have significant positive impacts on the level of satisfaction.5)In addition, residents'understanding of community environmental issues, the sense of responsibility to participate in community environmental governance, education level, political status and the type of residential community have significant positive impacts on the level of satisfaction, while income level has a significant negative impact. This study can provide a scientific reference for improving the community roundtable dialogue mechanism and increasing residents'satisfaction from multiple perspectives.
