Effects of clay carrier and precipitation time on the cultivation of aerobic granular sludge with high influent COD wastewater
Agricultural irrigation is developed in southern Xinjiang, and the aquaculture wastewater containing high COD concentration is easy to pollute the surface water,so it is particularly important to study the wastewater treatment technology that can reduce high COD concentration. The activated sludge was inoculated in a sequence batch reactor(SBR)with a height to diameter ratio(RH/D)of 3.125,and the high concentration COD was artificially prepared as influent. The changes of sludge morphology, pollutant removal performance and microbial flora at different stages during sludge granulation were analyzed. The results showed that MLSS was 2700 mg/L,SVI5 and SVI30 were both less than 40.12mL/g when the aerobic granular sludge was stabilized after the application of clay carrier. The particles were orange-yellow and brown rice hulls with an average particle size of 414 um,and the internal structure was filamentous bacterial skeleton. The average removal rates of COD,TP and NH4+-N in wastewater were 91.12%,90.77%and 81.20%,respectively.The relative abundances of Zoogloea,Flavobacterium,Fusibacter and Thauera were 49.95%,11.52%,2.25%and 2.67%,respectively.Using clay as carrier not only solves the problem of starting granular sludge directly under the influent with high concentration of COD,but also can enrich different types of microbial flora for removal of nitrogen and phosphorus, which has reference significance for the treatment of aquaculture wastewater.
