Distribution of carbon stock and carbon density of forest ecosystems in Qing Shui He County,Inner Mongolia
As the main component of carbon pool in terrestrial ecosystem, forest carbon sink plays a crucial role in the global carbon cycle and achieving the China's goals of carbon peak and carbon neutral. This study takes the typical forest ecosystems in Qing Shui He County,Inner Mongolia,as the research object, and uses the results of the sample plot survey as the basis to compare and analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of its forest carbon stock and carbon density through biomass conversion and expansion methods, combined with GIS forest vector data. The results show that:1)The total carbon stock of all types of forest ecosystems in Qing Shui He County is 328.80 Wt and the carbon density is 49.19 t/hm2,among which, the artificial shrubs, artificial broad-leaved forest and artificial coniferous forest are the main contributors to the carbon stock of all forest ecosystems, and their carbon stock accounts for 83.8%of the total carbon stock.2)The vertical distribution of carbon density and carbon stock shows as soil layer>tree layer>herb layer>shrub layer>litter layer.3)The carbon density of tree forests is mainly concentrated in the altitude range of 1501~1600m,and that of shrub forests are mainly concentrated in the altitude range of 1101~1500m.4)The carbon storage of slopes contributes more to the total, followed by flat slopes, and the carbon storage distribution on sharp slopes and dangerous slopes is less than 0.1%.5)The carbon density of shady slopes and semi-shady slopes is significantly higher than that of other slopes. The carbon density of natural shrubs on sunny slopes and semi-sunny slopes is higher than that on other slopes.
