Spatio-temporal evolution and synergistic development patterns of tourism economic networks in cross-border tourism cooperation zones-A case of Xinjiang,China-five Central Asian countries
The construction of cross-border railways promotes the integrated development and collaborative growth of cross-border tourism cooperation zones. In the context of constructing a cross-border tourism cooperation zone involving 34 cities across China's Xinjiang region and the five Central Asian countries, three scenario assumptions are proposed based on the planned progress and construction paces of cross-border railways by 2025,2035,and 2055.Cost weighted distance and other methods are used to explore the spatial and hierarchical evolution of the tourism economic network in cross-border tourism cooperation zones and to construct a regional tourism collaborative development model. The results indicate that with the gradual advancement of cross-border railway construction, the time costs and spatial imbalances in border cities have been reduced, and the spatial structure of accessibility has evolved from a"layered"to a"corridor-based"pattern.The cross-border tourism economic network has evolved from a"dispersed"to a"diamond-shaped"and then to a"multi-core"configuration.Combining the process of cross-border railway construction, the background of cultural and tourism resources along the way,and the railway development plan,a synergetic development model for cross-border tourism cooperation zones that combines the"point-line-surface"system is constructed.
