Evolution characteristics of the spatial network structure in urban system of the Hehuang area
A scientifically reasonable spatial network structure in regional urban system contributes to the efficient allocation of resources between cities and the optimization of the territorial spatial pattern. This paper uses gravity and social network models to study the evolution characteristics of the spatial network structure of the urban system in the Hehuang area from 2005 to 2022.The results show that the spatial network structure of urban system in the Hehuang region features a"dual core"configuration, with the urban areas of Lanzhou and Xining acting as the core nodes. This structure is evolving from a relatively independent"weak dual core"configuration to a more interconnected and integrated"strong dual core"configuration. At the same time,it also presents the trend of evolution from the system of"dual-cores with point axis"to the network system of"multi-cores with point axis cluster".In the future, while strengthening the leading ability of the"dual core",the construction of the third core should be accelerated in the southeastern Hehuang region, the integrated development of urban and rural areas should be promoted with the county as the basic unit, and the urbanization carrying capacity of the county and critical towns and townships should be improved to guide the moderate centralized development of rural areas,to promote the optimization of its urban system structure and land spatial pattern in the Hehuang area.
