Evaluation and analysis of potential photovoltaic industry land in Inner Mongolia
To accommodate the rapidly growing photovoltaic industry's land demand in Inner Mongolia, and within the context of territorial space use regulations, based on the existing relevant technical rules and previous studies,we have established an index system for evaluation of the suitability of photovoltaic industry land, and discussed the spatial distribution characteristics of PV industry land suitability and the potential of PV industry land in Inner Mongolia by using AHP-entropy weight method and limiting factor removal method. The results show that the suitability evaluation grade of PV industry in the whole region is mainly suitable, with an area of 355,100km2,accounting for 31.69%of the total area of Inner Mongolia, showing the distribution characteristics of higher in the west, lower in the east, and moderate in the middle region. The theoretical potential area of photovoltaic industry land development in the region is 1,061,900km2,the realizable potential area is 488,500km2,and the realizable potential area presents the spatial distribution characteristics of"five belts and two pieces".In view of this,we propose that the development level of regions with high realizable potential of PV land should be enhanced, the leagues or cities with greater potential should be developed on a large scale, the development and utilization degree of the photovoltaic industry on sandy land should be enhanced, and the national important energy and strategic resource bases can be constructed in bare land and other lands.
