Based on the self-constructed database of Southeast Asia's"Chinese+"education project and related news reports on open-source websites,the"Chinese+"education project in Southeast Asia shows distinct characteristics across three aspects:the cooperation model,talent training model,and teaching model.Especially,Thailand has the highest number of"bring in"school-running projects,while Jiangsu Province leads in the number of vocational colleges"going global".The most in-demand majors are finance,economics,business and trade,and equipment manufacturing.School-school cooperation is a commonly chosen cooperation model,and the modern apprenticeship is a popular method of talent training.Additionally,the EPIP model is a teaching model with Chinese characteristics.In continuing to promote and strengthen the"Chinese+"education project,several development suggestions are proposed.In terms of the cooperation model,the government,schools,administrations,and enterprises should build a cooperative development mechanism to create an international brand of vocational Chinese education.Regarding the talent training model,integrating Chinese standards into the national vocational education systems of Southeast Asian Countries is crucial,along with strengthening the construction of teachers and resources.Lastly,the teaching model should emphasize the integration of language and skills while highlighting the teaching of culture and workplace communication strategies.
