How Does Service Industry Opening Increase Export Domestic Value-added Ratio of the Enterprises:From the Perspective of the Integration of Two Industries
The deep integration of advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry is an important way to achieve high-quality development.Based on the exogenous impact of the significant opening of China's service industry after its accession to the WTO and the integration degree of manufacturing industry and service industry, this paper designs a generalized DID model and it is found that service industry opening promotes a greater increase in export domestic value-added ratio(DVAR)of manufacturing enterprises with a deeper integration degree of the two industries. This conclusion passes a series of robustness tests such as parallel trend test, placebo test and indicator replacement.Meanwhile,it is found that the policy effect only becomes apparent after the specific commitment measures for service industry opening are implemented.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that low-tech industries and processing trade enterprises are the main beneficiaries of service industry opening and there is also heterogeneity in the impact of factor inputs from different service industries on the enterprises.Mechanism analysis results reveal that the increase in the markup of the enterprises and the decrease in the relative prices of domestic intermediate goods are the mechanisms through which service industry opening promotes the increase in export DVAR of the enterprises.
