The Unified National Market and the Expansion of Domestic Chain Length in Global Value Chain
International market is the extension of domestic market, and exploring whether domestic circulation represented by the unified national market can provide a solid foundation for China's participation in international circulation has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on Chinese industrial enterprises data and customs trade data, this paper systematically investigates the impact and mechanism of the unified national market on domestic chain length of China's export enterprises in global value chain(GVC).The research results show that the unified national market significantly promotes the expansion of domestic chain length of China's export enterprises, and expands China's embedding length in GVC;the transmission mechanism reveals that the unified national market mainly gives impetus to the expansion of the production chain length of export enterprises through reducing the costs of the enterprises and promoting the innovation of the enterprises;further research indicates that the increase in foreign-funded enterprises, the development of digital economy and the improvement of industrial agglomeration level are all conducive to amplifying the expansion effect of the unified national market on the production chain length of the enterprises;based on the decomposition of chain length,it is found that the expansion of the chain length of the enterprises is mainly realized through the decrease in upstream degree of supply side exports.
