The Belt and Road Initiative and Green Technology Innovation of the Enterprises:Research on the Mechanism of Digital Transformation
Digital transformation and green technology innovation are the main components of high-quality development.Identifying how digital transformation of the enterprises related to the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)empowers green technology innovation is of great significance for achieving high-quality development.This paper constructs a comprehensive indicator of digital transformation,and uses DID model to examine the impact of BRI on green technology innovation and the mechanism of digital transformation.The research shows that BRI significantly promotes green technology innovation of the enterprises.The mechanism test reveals that BRI significantly enhances digital transformation of the enterprises,thereby empowering green technology innovation of the enterprises.The heterogeneity analysis indicates that BRI has a more significant improvement effect on green technology innovation of the enterprises in the samples of state-owned enterprises,the relatively large enterprises,the enterprises with less competition and the enterprises in the eastern region.The paper provides practical reference for the strategic opportunities brought by digital transformation and the high-quality development.
