Cluster Development of Higher Education and Economic Resilience:Mechanisms,Approaches and Contributions
As the world enters a new period of turbulence,the development of economic resilience is becoming increasingly important.Based on panel data from 31 provinces from 2008 to 2020,this study evaluates the development of higher education clustering in China from the perspectives of higher education quality clustering and scale clustering.On this basis,an empirical study was conducted on the impact of higher education clustering level on the improvement of economic resilience.Research has found a significant positive correlation between higher education clustering and economic resilience;there are significant differences in the impact of higher education cluster development on economic resilience among the three major regions of the East,Central,and West;higher education clusters influence economic resilience development through talent effects,innovation effects,and industrial effects,among which talent effects contribute the most.Research helps to clarify the mechanisms and approaches by which higher education clusters affect economic resilience,implement policies for cluster development of higher education according to local conditions,and fully leverage the economic resilience enhancement effects of higher education clusters in talent,technology,and industry.
