How to Empower Common Prosperity through the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Universities——The Chain Intermediary Role of Regional Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The common prosperity of all the people is an important feature of Chinese path to modernization,and enabling common prosperity is the historical mission of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of colleges and universities.However,whether the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Chinese universities can effectively play this empowering role and provide strong support for common prosperity remains an urgent question to be answered.To this end,panel data from 31 provinces in China from 2012 to 2021 were used for analysis,and it was found that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities can empower common prosperity by improving the level of prosperity and narrowing income gaps,in which regional entrepreneurship and innovation play a chain like intermediary role;in terms of enhancing the level of prosperity,the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities has a greater empowering effect on urban areas than on rural areas;in terms of narrowing the income gap,the empowerment effect of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities is significant in areas with high levels of corporate social responsibility fulfillment,but not significant in areas with low levels of fulfillment.Based on this,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions have been proposed.
