Digital Technology-enabled University Governance:The Logic of Value,Technology and Institutions
Empowered by digital technology,achieving the digital transformation of university governance system is not only a necessary response to the digital era,but also an inevitable choice to promote the connotative development of higher education.The governance of universities empowered by digital technology,at the theoretical level,needs to be based on a reasonable choice of value orientation and fully utilize technology empowerment to achieve governance goals.At the practical level,it is also necessary to understand its technical mechanism,avoid,prevent and respond to digital risks from the institutional level,and form a recyclable model of dual construction of governance and technology.Therefore,the logical path of digital technology empowering university governance can be explored from three levels:value,technology,and system.Among them,the value logic is the coupling of instrumental rationality and value rationality,the technical logic is the multidimensional reconstruction of digital technology in university governance,and the institutional logic is the dynamic response to technology and risk.Based on logical reasoning,it is found that there are still practical dilemmas such as tool rationality usurpation,digital technology alienation,and outdated institutional mechanisms in the current practice process.It is necessary to explore the optimization path of digital technology empowering university governance from three aspects:deepening relevant theories,cultivating digital leadership,and promoting institutional innovation.
