Time Significance,Realistic Predicament and System Reconstruction of Self-evaluation in Colleges and Universities
Higher education in our country has entered a stage of popularization,imposing higher demands on its development.Educational evaluation acts as a guiding force for the direction of educational development.Currently,higher education evaluations are primarily conducted by government and third-party entities,with universities'self-evaluations significantly lacking both in concept and practice.Universities not only have an unclear understanding of self-evaluation,but also have disconnected the relationship between self-evaluation and external evaluations.Universities need to re-recognize the concept of self-evaluation and implement it in practice through a"system-knowledge-talent"framework.The self-evaluation system should focus on institutional effectiveness,innovation in knowledge level,and excellence in talent cultivation as indicators of high quality.Moreover,technologies such as big data,blockchain,and artificial intelligence should be utilized to enhance the efficacy of self-evaluations.
