Ups and Downs,Changes,and Prospects for the Improvement of the Status of Education Disciplines in China
Looking back at the development history of education in China for thousands of years,the importance of education has gone through ups and downs.After the implementation of the imperial examination system in 1901,the importance of school education was elevated to an unprecedented level.Since the emergence of education disciplines in the late Qing Dynasty,the status of education disciplines in China has also undergone a process of rise and fall over the past century.Compared to other humanities and social sciences,the status of education disciplines in China is not high.In recent years,the position of pedagogy in China's humanities and social sciences has been significantly improved,based on the number of awards in the past five humanities and social sciences awards in colleges and universities and the number of first two rounds of"double first-class"construction of first-class disciplines.The future education discipline needs to grasp the characteristics of the discipline,strive for"internal cultivation skills"and"external cultivation services",and become a discipline with a complete system,in-depth research,practical orientation,and social contribution,gradually improving its position in the Chinese academic community.
