Influence factors of debridement and suturing in children with maxillofacial trauma under local anesthesia
Objective To explore how to reduce the fear and the side effect on 2-6 years old children underwent debridement and suturing of maxillofacial trauma under local anesthesia.Methods 261 cases of 2-6 years old children underwent debridement and suturing of maxillofacial trauma under local anesthesia in the outpatients department of stomatology in our hospital were enrolled.Subjects were divided into two groups by two methods respectively.Method 1:Subjects were randomly divided into psychological intervention group (n=132) and control group (n=129); Method2:according to whether having family members accompany,subjects were divided into with family members accompany group (n=136) and without family members accompany group (n=125).We compared the compliance of debridement and suturing under local anesthesia,times of changing the sterile instruments due to contaminated,operation time,parents' satisfaction with the appearance recovery.Results Both the psychological intervention group and without family members accompany group had higher rate of operational compliance (intervention group:81.06%,control group:64.34%. without family members accompany group:92.86%,control group:48.53%),less times of changing the sterile instruments (intervention group:14,control group:30. without family members accompany group:7,control group:37),shorter operation time (intervention group:1.73 ± 0.75,control group:3.82 ± 2.70.without family members accompany group:.1.52 ± 0.54,control group:3.75 ± 2.77)and better parents' satisfaction with the appearance recovery (intervention group:92.42%,control group:81.40%. without family members accompany group:96.03%,control group:77.94%) when compared to the control groups.Conclusion Psychological intervention and without parents accompany play a positive role on debridement and suturing of maxillofacial trauma under local anesthesia of 2-6 years old children.
