新疆地区ERA5和MERRA-2大气可降水量精度分析

大气再分析资料提供的大气可降水量(PWV)产品在天气变化和气候研究中扮演着极为重要的角色.新疆地区存在地形起伏大、气候复杂和实测高分辨率PWV产品缺乏等特点,大气再分析资料提供的PWV产品可作为有力补充.以新疆地区 2018 年 11 个GNSS站数据反演得到的PWV(GNSS-PWV)信息作为参考值,评估ERA5 和MERRA-2提供PWV产品在新疆地区的精度,并分析两种再分析资料PWV的偏差(Bias)和均方根差(RMSE)的时空变化特性及其日变化.结果表明:以 GNSS-PWV 为参考值,ERA5 和MERRA-2在新疆地区的PWV年均Bias分别为-0.97 和-1.20 mm,年均RMSE分别为1.81 和2.11 mm,两种再分析资料PWV均具有较高精度,其中 ERA5 PWV 精度略高于 MERRA-2 PWV;两种再分析资料的PWV精度都有明显的季节性变化,总体表现为夏季精度低,冬季精度高;在PWV日变化分布上,两种再分析资料与GNSS-PWV展现出较高的一致性,能较好地反映新疆地区PWV的日变化特性.
Accuracy of precipitable water vapor of ERA5 and MERRA-2 in Xinjiang
Atmospheric precipitable water vapor(PWV)is a key parameter to study and monitor weather chan-ges.According to the characteristics of complex terrain,harsh climate environment and insufficient water vapor sampling rate in Xinjiang,the accuracy of the PWV data provided by the latest ERA5 and MERRA-2 atmos-pheric reanalysis data is analyzed,with the PWV(GNSS-PWV)from the data of 11 GNSS stations in Xinjiang in 2018 as the reference value.After verifying the accuracy with the sounding station PWV data,the accuracy of ERA5 and MERRA-2 PWV in Xinjiang is evaluated.The temporal and spatial variation characteristics of the PWV bias(Bias),root mean square error(RMSE)of the two types of analysis data and the diurnal anomaly var-iation are analyzed.The results show that:(1)The annual mean Bias of ERA5 and MERRA-2 in Xinjiang are-0.97 and-1.20 mm.The annual mean RMSE are 1.81 and 2.11 mm.The accuracy PWV in the two kinds of analysis is better.ERA5 PWV is slightly more accurate than MERRA-2 PWV.(2)The PWV accuracy of both analysis data has obvious seasonal variation,generally low in summer and high in winter.(3)In terms of the di-urnal variation of PWV,the two analysis data show high consistency with GNSS-PWV,indicating better diurnal variation of PWV in Xinjiang.Therefore,the two reanalysis data have high accuracy and stability in the PWV of Xinjiang,and is an important data source to study the water vapor change in Xinjiang.
