Decoupling relationships between economic growth and industrial wastes in six provinces of central China
Based on the Tapio decoupling elastic coefficient model, five indicators(industrial added value, per capita GDP,industrial wastewater, industrial waste gas,and industrial solid waste emission)are selected to an-alyze the emission of industrial wastes and industrial added value from 2005 to 2019.This paper conducts an em-pirical study on the decoupling relationship between industrial wastes emissions and per capita GDP growth. The results show that:in terms of time, the decoupling indices of industrial economic growth and industrial wastes e-missions and per capita GDP growth and industrial wastes emissions in the six central provinces have no time se-ries,but the overall decoupling relationship evolves to absolute decoupling. Most of the industrial wastes emis-sions are in decoupling state, but the state is unstable, and there are still a few number of non-decoupling states. The decoupling relationship between per capita GDP growth and industrial wastes emissions in the six central provinces is relatively decoupling and absolutely decoupling, and part is expanding in negative decou-pling and growth linkage state. From a spatial point of view,Hunan is the province with the best performance in the two groups of decoupling relationships, and Shanxi is the province with the worst performance in the two groups of decoupling relationships.
