A New Risk Assessment Method for Bridges in Service
In order to improve the accuracy of risk assessment during bridge operation,a new bridge risk assessment method,LKC method,is proposed based on the operational condition risk assessment(LEC)method.In other words,the bridge importance coefficient K is introduced by the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to replace the exposure degree index E in the modified operational condition risk assessment method.The LKC method was used to evaluate the risk of 2 bridges in service.The results show that the LKC method can significantly improve the accuracy of the same risk assessment for different bridges and effectively improve the objectivity of the risk assessment for bridges in service.
