How Decent Work Promotes Innovative Work Behavior:The Mediation Effects of Work Engagement and Job Self-efficacy
While the deepening globalization,liberalization and digitalization of the economy make em-ployees'innovative work behavior(IWB)the key success factor of organizations,they also pose severe chal-lenges to the workers'employment quality.Under such circumstance,the International Labor Organization put forward Decent Work as its primary goal of participating in global governance.Based on a 7-dimension con-struct of decent work,this paper discusses the paths of effect of decent work on IWB.By means of structural equations analysis using 517 supervisor-employee dyads,it tests that decent work precedes IWB,with work en-gagement and job self-efficacy partially mediating the relationship between decent work and IWB.To promote decent work for all workers is significant for"building the knowledgeable,skillful,and innovative work force"and implementing the"innovation-driven development strategy".
