Bricolage Effects on Organizational Agility:The Moderating Role of Decentralization
Existing research provides an unclear picture about bricolage effects on organization-al agility in manufacturing firms.To fill these research gaps,this research base on the"source-posi-tion"framework and the contingency perspective of organizational structure to investigate bricolage different effects on operational adjustment and market capitalizing agility and consider the contin-gency effect of decentralization.Survey data from 208 manufacturing firms shows that bricolage has positive effects on operational adjustment agility,but has a U-shaped relationship with market capi-talizing agility.Decentralization positively moderates bricolage effects on operational adjustment and market capitalizing agility.Consequently,this study contributes to bricolage theory and organization-al agility literature by making clear how bricolage influences organizational agility in manufacturing firms and identifying boundary conditions of organization structure.
