Study on the Level Measurement and Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of China's Green Modernization
This article constructs an evaluation index system for the level of green modern-ization in China based on the four dimensions of green industry modernization,green life mod-ernization,green ecological modernization and green economic modernization,and uses the en-tropy method to measure the green modernization level of each province from 2000 to 2021,and uses Theil index and local Moran index to explore the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics and regional differences of China's green modernization level.The results show that the overall level of green modernization in China is on the rise steadily.As time goes by,the overall differ-ence of green modernization in the whole country and each region gradually decreases,and pres-ents the spatial characteristics of positive agglomeration.There is no σ convergence in the level of green modernization of the country and all regions,but all support β convergence mechanism.Based on this,the paper puts forward policy suggestions on building integrated green gover-nance demonstration zones,implementing green modernization coordinated development plans,and exploring new models of regional green cooperation,in order to provide useful reference for improving the level of green modernization.
