Digital Village Construction and Farmers'Subjective Relative Poverty
Alleviating farmers'subjective relative poverty in the post-poverty alleviation era is an important part in realizing the rural revitalization strategy. In this paper,we use the data of China Land Economic Survey 2021(CLES)to measure farmers'subjective relative poverty by A-F meth-od,and construct logit model and other tests to examine the impact of digital village construction on farmers'subjective relative poverty and the mechanism of action. The results show that:(1)The incidence of farmers'subjective relative poverty is 30.25%,and the dimensions of the sense of access as well as the indicators of economic status, social participation, and cultural activities contribute the most to subjective relative poverty.(2)The construction of digital villages can effectively alleviate the subjective relative poverty of farmers, and can alleviate the subjective relative poverty of farmers by expanding the income effect and consumption effect.(3)As for villages, the effect of digital vil-lage construction in alleviating farmers'subjective relative poverty is mainly reflected in relatively backward areas;as for individuals, the effect of digital village construction in alleviating farmers'subjective relative poverty is more obvious for the elderly and risk averse groups. In view of this,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of rural livelihood and cultural facilities to enhance the level of civilization in the countryside;to create a rural digital environment to promote the develop-ment of the platform economy;and to organize public welfare skills training to ensure that the fruits of digital village construction are shared.
