Through a comprehensive review of the existing literature,this paper first introduces the origin,characteristics and measurement of exploitative leadership,and then systematically combs the antecedent variables,effects and mechanisms of exploitative leadership.This paper makes a com-prehensive and systematic review of the existing empirical research at home and abroad,constructs a comprehensive analysis framework of exploitative leadership research and points out the specific di-rection of future research.The study found that most of the existing research focuses on the impact of exploitative leadership on the individual level of employees,lacks the discussion of the impact on the team,organization and multi-interactive subject level,and lacks the research on the antecedent vari-ables.The development of measurement tools is relatively simple,and there is a lack of cross-cul-tural comparison of the effectiveness of exploitative leadership.Therefore,this paper looks forward to the future research of exploitative leadership from the aspects of the development of localized measurement tools,the improvement of antecedent variables and their influencing mechanisms,the expansion of team and organizational effects,the cross-cultural comparison of exploitative leadership effectiveness,and the scientificity and rigor of research methods.
