Based on the panel data of 278 cities at prefecture level and above in China,this paper empirically analyzes the relationship and mechanism of new quality productivity on urban economic resilience based on the measurement of the level of new quality productivity at city lev-el.The results show that the new quality productivity has a significant promoting effect on urban economic resilience,and this effect has the heterogeneity of geographical location,resource endow-ment and urban agglomeration,and the promoting effect is more significant in the eastern region,non-resource-based cities and optimization and upgrading of urban agglomeration cities.Mecha-nism analysis shows that industrial synergy agglomeration is an important mechanism variable of new quality productivity affecting urban economic resilience,that is,new quality productivity can improve urban economic resilience by improving the level of industrial synergy agglomeration.This study provides a theoretical basis for clarifying how new quality productivity affects urban econom-ic resilience,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,aiming at promot-ing the improvement of urban economic resilience with high quality.
