Artificial Intelligence Makes Education Better——Summary of the Parallel Session on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Ethics at the 2024 World Digital Education Conference
The application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of education has profoundly impacted the paradigm of education and teaching, bringing more possibilities for the development of education. At the same time, a series of ethical risk issues have also emerged, attracting widespread attention in the industry. On January 31st, the"Artificial Intelligence and Digital Ethics"parallel session of the 2024 World Digital Education Conference was held in Shanghai. Under the theme"Artificial Intelligence Makes Education Better,"participants from various perspectives engaged in exchanges and discussions, sharing policies and experiences related to the application of artificial intelligence in education from different countries. The session reached a significant consensus on empowering educational development with artificial intelligence and proposed the following initiatives: 1) Implement policies for the application of artificial intelligence in education to fully harness the value of artificial intelligence. 2) Innovate the ways artificial intelligence is applied in education to promote the quality and equity of digital education. 3) Collaboratively advance the research paradigms of artificial intelligence and education to foster the transformation of knowledge production modes. 4) Jointly support the enhancement of literacy for teachers and students in the intelligent era to better meet the new demands of talent cultivation and social development under new circumstances. 5) Practice ethical norms for the application of artificial intelligence in education and promote the construction of a scientific governance system. 6) Strengthen international cooperation between artificial intelligence and education to ensure trustworthy applications of artificial intelligence in education.
