Research on Hotspots and Development Trends of International Education Digital Transformation
In recent years,countries around the world have launched education informatisation policies to achieve digital transformation in education.Scholars in various countries follow the research hotspots in the international education sector and conduct various studies in the field of digital transformation of education.Based on the bibliometric analysis method,CiteSpace software was used to visualise the literature published in journals included in the Science Citation Database from 2000 to 2023,and the analysis was carried out by analysing the number of articles published in the literature in each year,the research direction,the distribution of academic journals,the knowledge map of the national(regional)cooperation network and that of the research institutions,the number of author's publications,the frequency of keywords,and the co-occurrence of theme words.etc.,aiming to explore the hotspots and development trends of the current international research on digital transformation of education.It is found that the number of international publications on digital transformation in education has entered into a period of publication explosion since 2016;the research direction in this field mainly focuses on education,computer engineering and psychology;international research in this field has formed a cooperation network led by the Russia,United States,Germany,United Kingdom and Ukraine;the volume of publications by international authors shows that Spanish and Portuguese academics are more prolific in the field of digitisation in education.There are more cohesive subgroups led by authors;the research hotspots mainly focus on the enhancement of digital skills and digital literacy of teachers and students oriented to higher education,and how to use information technology and social media to improve the teaching and learning effect of online learning.
