Design and Construction of Assessment Framework for Digital Literacy of Primary and Secondary School Students
Digital Literacy of primary and secondary school students,as a crucial skill set for adapting to future demands,encompasses the use of digital technology,cognition of digital technology and emotional engagement within the Digital Society.Digital Literacy is deeply intertwined with the socio-economic advancement and culture evolution,making its localization crucial for meeting the needs of educational reform in China.The localization process of digital literacy assessment framework for primary and secondary school students involved three phrases,employing research methodologies such as expert interviews,consultation,group discussion and survey.Qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis were integrated and complementary.The fundamental characteristics of digital literacy include use,understanding,creation,criticism,expression,and ethics.With the assessment of digital literacy,three kinds of abilities including people and self,people and society,people and tools should be paid attention.They then were broken down into 9 dimensions,such as digital identity construction,digital tool use,digital information understanding,digital information criticism,digital information integration,digital life consumption,digital security ethics,digital emotional communication,and digital creative expression.Based on the research of evaluation in related fields,37 detection points are formed through citation,modification and self-compilation.Digital literacy of primary and secondary school students is described as three levels:digital survival level,digital adaptation level and digital development level.
