Research on Hakka Folk Literature from the Perspective of Academic History
Hakka folk literature works need to be defined by four elements:space and region,time linearity,narrator and narrative content,and the boundary of Hakka folk literature research is thus determined.The study of Hakka folk literature came with the study of Hakka history and culture.Generally speaking,it started late.In addition to the important achieve-ments in Hakka ballads,the study of Hakka myths,legends,folk language and other aspects is very weak,with few achieve-ments.Hakka folk literature research has its social value and academic value.Its research perspective is diversified.It attaches importance to the development of history,folklore,cultural anthropology and other disciplines.It has diversified research methods,and has formed academic paradigms such as making up for the lack of history,comparative research between Fujian and Taiwan,and empirical research on folk customs.
