The primary clinical manifestations of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection primarily involve respiratory symptoms,yet the impact of the virus on the cardiovascular system should not be overlooked.Patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases are at a higher risk of infection and often experience exacerbated conditions due to the viral infection.Furthermore,SARS-CoV-2 infection can lead to a series of cardiovascular complications,including acute myocardial injury,arrhythmias,and heart failure,significantly affecting the prognosis of SARS-CoV-2 patients.This article provides a comprehensive overview of the mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases induced by SARS-CoV-2 infection,potential symptom,and clinical manifestations,along with offering reference guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the post-pandemic era.
