Multiple myeloma and osteolytic bone metastases are common malignant tumors of bone,and their incidence has been increasing in recent years.The clinical symptoms and imaging findings of multiple myeloma and osteolytic bone metastases are similar,which are often confused and difficult to distinguish.However,the treatment and prognosis of these two diseases are very different,and the differential diagnosis between them is very important.Imaging is the most commonly used noninvasive examination method,but the conventional imaging is limited to identify the two diseases.As a new imaging method,radiomics has brought new application prospect for the differential diagnosis of multiple myeloma and osteolytic bone metastases.This article reviews the application progress of imaging in the differential diagnosis of these two diseases.
