Acute non variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding(ANVUGIB)is one of the most common acute and critical illnesses in the digestive system.Although significant progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of ANVUGIB in recent years, with the majority of patients having a good prognosis after timely treatment, there are still a few high-risk patients who cannot be identified in a timely manner, resulting in delayed treatment. Therefore, the latest domestic and international guidelines recommend the use of scoring systems for risk assessment to achieve the goals of high-risk identification, stratified treatment, and improved prognosis. So far, many scoring systems have been applied in clinical practice, showing good predictive value in evaluating patient condition and prognosis. This article reviews the existing mainstream and some newly proposed scoring systems for ANVUGIB,intended to provide new insights for gastroenterologists and emergency physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of ANVUGIB patients.
