Chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)is a chronic inflammatory disease of the nasal sinus mucosa, with a complex etiology and pathological mechanism. At present, endoscopic sinus surgery has become the preferred surgical treatment for chronic sinusitis in clinical practice. However, the nasal cavity and sinus mucosa are still in an inflammatory environment after surgery.Improper handling can affect the surgical efficacy.Clinical studies have confirmed that nasal irrigation is one of the effective treatment options for chronic sinusitis, and its efficacy has been recognized and widely used as a local treatment for postoperative chronic sinusitis. At present,in clinical practice, the choice of flushing solution is more inclined towards saline, mainly considering that saline is more in line with the physiological requirements of the nasal cavity and nasal mucosa, and does not cause irritation to the mucosa. This article mainly reviews the selection and efficacy evaluation of postoperative nasal saline irrigation for chronic sinusitis, providing reference for the clinical application of nasal saline irrigation.
