Correlation between serum myoglobin, troponin Ⅰ and severity of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease
Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum myoglobin(Mb),troponinⅠ(cTnI)and the severity of coronary lesions in patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD).Methods:A total of 82 patients admitted to the Ninth People's Hospital of Zhengzhou from May 2019 to July 2023 and confirmed as CHD by coronary angiography were selected as the CHD group, which was retrospectively analyzed.Another 78 healthy cases who underwent physical examination in the same hospital during the same period were selected as control group.Serum Mb and cTnI levels were compared between the CHD group and the control group, the serum levels of Mb and cTnI in CHD patients with different degrees of coronary artery disease severity were compared.Mb and cTnI were grouped according to the upper limit of normal threshold, and the differences of Gensini scores in patients with coronary artery stenosis were compared between Mb<75 μg/L and Mb≥75 μg/L,cTnI<1.0 mg/L and cTnI≥1.0 mg/L.The relationship between Mb,cTnI and the severity of coronary artery disease was analyzed by binary regression method, and the regression equation was listed. Results:Serum Mb and cTnI levels in the CHD group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).There were statistical differences in serum Mb and cTnI levels in CHD patients with different coronary lesion severities(P<0.05);serum Mb and cTnI levels were higher in the moderate and severe groups than those in the mild group, and serum Mb and cTnI levels were higher in the severe group than those in the moderate group, the severe group was higher than moderate group(P<0.05).There were statistically significant Gensini scores 10 cases with Mb<75 μg/L and 72 cases with Mb≥75 μg/L;7 cases with cTnI<1.0 mg/L and 75 cases cases with cTnI≥1.0 mg/L,respectively,(P<0.05).The binary linear regression equation of serum Mb and cTnI levels and Gensini score of different severity of coronary lesions in the CHD group was Y=15.372+2.815X1+1.030X2(Y is Gensini score,X1 is serum Mb,and X2 is serum cTnI).Serum Mb and cTnI levels were positively correlated with the severity of coronary lesions in CHD group(r=0.557,0.510,P<0.05).Conclusions:There is a significant positive correlation between serum Mb and cTnI levels and the severity of coronary artery lesions in CHD patients, and this study not only provides a new reference basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CHD,but also provides a new way of thinking for further investigating the pathogenesis of CHD and its prevention strategies.
