Laboratory Test for Removing Thallium from Source Water by Potassium Permanganate Composite Salt and Powdered Activated Carbon
Laboratory test for removing thallium from source water had been carried out.The results showed that, based on the conventional treatment process, adjusting the pH to 9.0,and then adding 8.0mg/L potassium permanganate composite salt and 50mg/L powdered activated carbon can reduce the thallium concentration from 0.001mg/L to 0.00010mg/L.The concentrations of aluminum and manganese in the treated water did not exceed the prescribed limit.
