Research Progress of Novel Coagulants Applied in Water Treatment
In the treatment of sewage and wastewater,coagulation technology is widely used because of its easy operation,economic treatment and significant effect. With the development of the whole society and environment,the traditional coagulants gradually fail to meet the standard and the requirements of the actual management,therefore,the research of new coagulants has become the development trend. The article reviews the types of new coagulants,describes the development of coagulation from traditional coagulants to novel coagulants,and sums up the application of novel coagulants in water eutrophication and many other areas of water treatment,also the future direction of coagulant research and development is envisaged.
