Numerical Simulation Prediction of Groundwater Quality at the Leakage Site of a Sewage Treatment Plant Based on GMS
With the operating years of urban sewage treatment plants,the issue of sewage leakage in each process unit of old sewage treatment plants is becoming increasingly prominent.On the basis of considering the actual hydrogeological conditions and determining the strength of pollution sources,a three-dimensional numerical model was established for the study area to simulate and predict the groundwater pollution that may occur due to continuous leakage in the sewage treatment plant using GMS.The results indicated that if continuous leakage occurred in the high pollution process section of the old treatment plant area for a long time,it might have a certain impact on the surrounding groundwater bodies.Regular anti-seepage and anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out on the water treatment structures of the old sewage treatment plant,and monitoring and repairing of sewage leakage points should be strengthened to reduce the risk of groundwater pollution.
