Rethinking of Pan Zhichang's Life Aesthetics from Mutual Learning between China and the West
From the perspective of the integration of Chinese and Western thought,this paper conducts a profound analysis of the sources of the aesthetic system of the"Life-Emotion-Horizon Theory of Aesthetics,"which was constructed by a renowned Chinese professor of aesthetics based on the core spirits of traditional Chinese aesthetics:"life","emotion",and"horizon".It elaborates on his adoption of an eclectic attitude,broadly absorbing and drawing upon the treasures of Chinese and Western aesthetics,literature,and philosophy,bridging the ancient and the modern,and integrating the East and the West,to form a unique aesthetic system of life.This system brings certain enlightenments to the construc-tion of Chinese literary theory and the development of aesthetics.
