Prospective Practice of"Methods and Approaches"in Study of Chinese Ethnographic Novels:A Review of Ye Shuyuan's Research on Ethnographic Novels since the 20th Century
Research on Ethnographic Novels since the 20th Century by Ye Shuyuan focuses on the development of Chinese literature since the 20th century,puts forward the concept of ethnographic novels,and introduces the ethnographic meth-od as a methodological path.In the current paradigm transformation of contemporary literature research,the ethnogra-phic novel research is based on the theoretical resources of the western interpretive human school and the local practice of domestic literary anthropology research,and constructs a critical paradigm that takes theoretical exploration,text analysis and literary history as the research approach.The construction of the above critical paradigm has opened a new research horizon for the development of Chinese literary anthropology,promoted the local critical practice of Chinese literary an-thropology,expanded the discourse expression mode of Chinese ethnographic novel research,and has enlightening signifi-cance for the continuous exploration of ethnographic novel research in the future.
