The herbicidal potential and biological characteristics of a herbicidally active strain HY-041
[Objective]To study the herbicidal potential and biological characteristics of HY-041 strain and provide theoretical basis for its industrial production.[Method]The pathogenicity of strain HY-041 to seven weeds(Avena fatua L.,Chenopodium album L.,Elsholtzia densa Benth.,Galium aparine L.,Malva verticillate L.var.crispa,Polygonum lapathifolium L.and Amaranthus retroflexus L.)was deter-mined by in vitro inoculation. The effects of different media, light, temperature, carbon source, nitrogen source,pH and lethal temperature on mycelial growth and spore production were studied by growth rate method and spore counting method.[Result]The pathogenicity of strain HY-041 inoculated on isolated leaves for 7 days was as follows:P.lapathifolium>M.verticillata>A.fatua>C.album>G.aparine>A.retroflexus>E.densa.The HY-041 strain grew fastest and had dense mycelia in PSA medium, the op-timum growth temperature of the strain is 20℃,the optimum sporulation temperature is 25℃,in a continu-ous dark environment, more conducive to mycelial growth and spore production, the optimum carbon source is inositol, the optimum nitrogen source is potassium nitrate and sodium nitrate, the suitable growth pH of the strain is 9,the optimum sporulation pH is 8,the mycelial lethal temperature is 55℃/10 min.[Conclusion]The pathogenicity of HY-041 strain on 7 species of weeds in vitro and the biological charac-teristics of the strain were clarified, and the spore production of strain HY-041 was increased by optimiza-tion,which provided a theoretical basis for the study of biocontrol agents.
