Scenic beauty assessment in grape hyacinth in florescence color
[Objective]To study the public's preference for inflorescence color,the sample was based on 17 species and cultivars of grape hyacinth.[Method]Based on the SBE method,a web-based question-naire was used to collect the public's preference for grape hyacinth inflorescence color and calculate its SBE standardized value,extract the main evaluation factors affecting public's preference,and establish an evalua-tion model.[Result]Thirteen of the SBE scores for grape hyacinth inflorescence color were above 0 Evalu-ators showed a more generally positive attitude toward it(liked it or liked it a lot),and there was also a rela-tive consistency in aesthetics among evaluators of different genders and professions.After backward(Back-ward)screening of the factors,the model was built after six screenings:SBE=1.632+0.597X1-0.017X10+ 0.047X11-0.064X13,retaining four factors,namely the color vibrancy of the grape hyacinth inflorescence(X1),hue contrast(X10),brightness contrast(X11),and crown width of the inflorescence(X13).The four evaluation factors showed a highly significant linear relationship with their public preference,and the contri-bution of each factor to the public preference of grape hyacinth inflorescence color was in descending order:brightness contrast>color vividness>inflorescence crown width>color contrast.[Conclusion]Both the frequency of positive public attitudes and the SBE values for grape hyacinth inflorescence colors indicate trends in public preference.The SBE method can be applied to evaluate the color of grape hyacinth inflores-cences and can be used to broaden the scope of its application.
