Effects of fertilizer reduction combined with bio-organic fertilizer on yield, quality and nutrient allocation of zucchini in open field
[Objective]The study aimed to explore a reasonable fertilization pattern suitable for open-field planting of zucchini in northwest China.[Method]With zucchini variety Huayu as the material, five fer-tilization treatments were set up,i.e.,no fertilizer(CK0),conventional fertilizer(CK1),30%balanced fertil-izer with fertilizer reduction +400 kg/667 m2 biological organic fertilizer(T1),30%balanced fertilizer with fertilizer reduction +600 kg/667 m2 biological organic fertilizer(T2),30%balanced fertilizer with fertilizer reduction + 800 kg/667 m2 biological organic fertilizer(T3),followed by measuring growth indexes, quality, yield, dry matter and nutrient absorption and distribution of zucchini.[Result]The economic benefit was the highest for the treatment T2,i.e.,the balanced fertilization with 30%fertilizer reduction +600 kg/667 m2 biological organic fertilizer, and the plant height, stem diameter and leaf number of plants were significantly higher than those of conventional fertilization treatment(CK1).Compared with CK1 treatment,T2 treatment increased total dry matter mass, vitamin C,soluble sugar and soluble protein by 9.84%,9.37%,8.21%and 23.73%,respectively,and nitrate content decreased by 42.73%;meanwhile,nitrogen,phosphorus and po-tassium accumulation increased by 2.50%,14.29%and 10.99%,respectively.[Conclusion]The best yield was achieved for the treatment of balanced fertilization with 30%fertilizer reduction+600 kg/667 m2 bioorganic fertilizer treatment, which significantly improved the quality and yield and promoted nutrient ab-sorption and accumulation of zucchini.
