Bioinformatics Analysis of Pectin Lyase Gene Family in Peppers
To understand the number of members of the pectin lyase like(PLL)gene family of pepper, their physicochemical structures, and the biological processes in which they may be involved, the CaPLLs gene family was identified and analyzed using genome-wide scanning and online bioinformatics tools.A total of 28 CaPLLs gene families were identified on nine chromosomes in the reference genome of pepper, belonging to five subfamilies. The length of the amino acid sequence of CaPLLs gene family ranged from 183 to 762 aa,molecular mass ranged from 19.65 to 84.31 kDa,and isoelectric points ranged from 5.39 to 9.44.The analysis of conserved motifs and structural domains showed that there were 10 conserved motifs in CaPLLs family, and all of them contained the Pec_lyase_C domain.A variety of cis-acting elements related to hormones, stress responses, and growth were predicted to be present in the promoter sequences of CaPLLs gene.In this study,28 members of the CaPLLs gene family were identified, and highly conserved among genes in the same subfamily.
