Determination and principal component analysis of 22 inorganic elements in Angelica sinensis from different producing areas in Gansu Province
Objective To determin the content of 22 inorganic elements in Angelica sinensis from different pro-ducing areas in Gansu Province, and principal component analysis was performed. Methods Microwave digestion and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)were used to determine the contents of 22 inorganic elements in Angelica sinensis from different regions of Gansu Province, and the hazard index of 5 harmful heavy me-tals(copper,lead,arsenic,mercury and cadmium)stipulated in Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China were evaluated. The principal components of inorganic elements in Angelica sinensis from different producing areas were analyzed. Results The detection rates of 5 metal elements including copper, lead, arsenic, mercury and cad-mium in 33 batches of Angelica sinensis were 100%,but they did not exceed the limit, and the hazard index assess-ment has no non-carcinogenic health risk.Among the other 17 elements, the characteristic elements that can repre-sent Angelica sinensis origin are iron, manganese, titanium, magnesium, zinc, strontium and aluminum, and the higher content is iron, magnesium, aluminum and manganese, among which the highest content of aluminum can reach 3654.9 mg/kg.The iron content of Angelica sinensis in Min County was higher than that in other producing areas. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid and accurate. The content of aluminum elements is high, which has great safety risks and should be paid attention to in the future.
