Clinical observation of 29 cases of lateral epicondylitis treated by tendon-regulating and bone-setting techniques combined with diclofenac diethylamine emulgel
Objective To observe the clinical effect of tendon-regulating and bone-setting techniques combined with diclofenac diethylamine emulgel in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis.Methods 60 patients with lateral epicondylitis were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.Since 1 patient in each group left the study during treatment,29 patients were eventually included in each group.The control group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave combined with diclofenac diethylamine emulsion,and the treatment group was treated with tendon-regulating and bone-setting techniques combined with di-clofenac diethylamine emulgel.The clinical efficacy,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,tenderness threshold,modi-fied Mayo elbow performance score(MEPS),median frequency(MF)and integrated electromyogram(iEMG)values of the radial extensor carpal muscle were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was 96.55%(28/29)in the treatment group and 72.41%(21/29)in the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,VAS scores in both groups were significantly de-creased,elbow pain,motor function,stability,ADL score and total score,tenderness threshold,iEMG and MF values of radial extensor carpal muscle were significantly increased,and the differences were statistically significant com-pared with those before treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and all indexes in the treatment group were more signifi-cantly increased.Compared with the control group after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion Tendon-regulating and bone-setting techniques combined with diclofenac diethylamine emulgel has significant clinical effect,which can effectively relieve the pain and muscle fatigue of patients with lateral epicondylitis of the humerus,reduce the tension of muscles around the elbow joint,and improve the elbow joint function,which is worthy of clinical application.
