This study discusses the characteristics of diagnosis and treatment of shoulder pain in A and B Clas-sics of Acupuncture and Moxibustion through manual retrieval,statistics,and analysis.The A and B Classics of Acu-puncture and Moxibustion identifies lack of healthy qi,external attack of evil qi,disease passing meridians,dysfunc-tion of meridians sinew,failure of bone joints,disorder of viscera as the etiology and pathogenesis of shoulder pain.The rules and methods for treatment involve strengthening the body to dispel the evil,harmonizing the viscera,rela-xing muscles and activating collaterals,promoting joint movement.Acupoint selection is mainly based on the three yang meridians of hand with emphasis on local acupoint selection and specific acupoint.The acupuncture method primarily involves ordinary acupuncture combined with special techniques such as contralateral acupuncture and fire needle method.A and B Classics of Acupuncture and Moxibustion offers valuable experience in treating shoulder pain.
