Progress in the clinical research of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of gluteal epithelial nerve entrapment syndrome over the past decade
This paper provides a comprehensive summary of clinical research on traditional Chinese medicine therapy for the treatment of gluteal epithelial nerve entrapment syndrome over the past decade, focusing on acupunc-ture,massage,traditional Chinese medicine, and acupotomy. The aim is to offer valuable insights for the clinical treatment of this syndrome. While traditional Chinese medicine therapy shows significant advantage in treating this disease, most clinical studies lack long-term patient follow-up and fail to point out a direct correlation between treat-ment points and disease onset or exacerbation.Furthermore, there is inadequate consideration of treatment site selec-tion.Future clinical studies should prioritize long-term patient outcome observation and conduct further basic re-search related to gluteal epithelial nerve entrapment syndrome in order to enhance the precision and efficacy of treatment site selection.
