Anti turbulence modulation technology for underwater wireless optical communication
A quasi coherent communication method for underwater wireless optical communication based on the generalized Gamma distribution(GGD)model is proposed to address the issues of light intensity flicker and power jitter at the receiving end caused by turbulence in underwater wireless optical communication. This method achieves intensity modulation of light by ad-justing the current of the light source, and modulates the frequency of the sine wave carrier using the modulation signal.Through simulation analysis, the influence of different intensities of underwater turbulence on the frequency of light intensity signals is studied, and the ability of quasi coherent communication methods to resist turbulence is verified. The simulation results show that this method can effectively suppress the fluctuation of optical power and significantly reduce the bit error rate under different tur-bulence intensity conditions. In strong turbulent environments, the bit error rate can be reduced to 5.25×10-5.
