Influence of alkali metals on metallurgical performance of charge for blast furnace
The influences of alkali metals on metallurgical properties of charge such as coke,sinter,pellet etc.were studied by analyzing the reduction and circulation mechanism of alkali metals in blast furnace.The results showed that CRI of the coke was raised and CSR was decreased with the alkali metals content increasing.When the alkali metals content in coke rose from 0.0 kg/t to 0.7 kg/t,CRI of coke increased by 14.28 ％ and CSR reduced by 14.39 ％.Therefore,the gasification reaction of coke was catalyzed by smallquantity alkali metals.RDI-3.15 and RDI-0.5 of the sinter and the pellets were increased and RDI+6.3 was declined rapidly with the alkali load increasing.Controlling the alkali metals content of sinter,coke and pellets strictly was the basic measure to reduce the hazard of alkali metals.
