Pilot-scale preparation production of micro-alloy iron powder using Panxi iron ore
To reduce the production cost of reduced iron powder and improve its performance,the pilot scale production was carried out to continuously prepare micro-alloy iron powder using Panxi iron ore.By strictly controlling the quality and stability of the direct reduction iron and the first reduction iron powder,adopting the catalytic reduction process of grinding separation-fine reduction,and constantly optimizing the process in practice,the adverse effects of low grade and high gangue content in Panxi iron ore on the quality and stability of micro-alloy iron powder were effectively remedied.The results of pilot scale production practice showed that under the condition of w(TFe)<60.0 %,w(SiO2)>2.0 % and w(Al2O3)>1.5 %,the micro-alloy iron powder with the hydrogen loss less than 0.20 %,w(C)<0.020 %,w(S)<0.030 %,w(TFe)>98.5 % and the metallization rate bigger than 99.0 % could be produced on batch.At the same time,the methods to reduce the damage of the harmful elements on steel belt furnace profile and stabilize reduction atmosphere were found.The production cost was decreased significantly.
